At Generation Progress, we're committed to tackling the issues that matter most to young people. From climate change to protecting our democracy, we're dedicated to making sure the world around us works for us and our families.  This mission involves protecting our right to reproductive justice–a framework developed by a group of Black women activists in the 1990's in response to the lack of a reproductive movement that defended the needs of people of color and other marginalized groups. So what is reproductive justice? It's the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities. Watch the below videos to learn how the issue areas we're working on intersect with our right to reproductive justice.

This devastating reality is why activists are working to push the Equality Act forward on Capitol Hill. Gaby Garcia-Vera of the National LGBTQ Task Force and our digital media associate Tymoni Correa-Buntley discuss.
