The Equality Act has just passed through the House and now it’s on to the Senate for a vote before it can become law!

That's why the Equality Act is so important. Updating our non-discrimination law helps ensure that all Americans, including LGBTQ Americans, can provide for themselves and their families, meet their obligations, live free from discrimination, and build a better life.
Twenty-nine states do not currently have laws that explicitly protect LGBTQ people from discrimination. We're over this awful game of whack-a-mole against bad rules, court positions, and legislation, so it's past time for comprehensive protections. It’s time for Congress to pass the Equality Act.
